Who is Christina Denton?
Christina has worked as a College and Career Counselor for the past twenty years in both public and private school settings.
Christina initially earned her teaching certificate from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1997, and then went on to receive her Master’s in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio as well. In addition, Christina is also Licensed Professional Counselor, which allows her to conduct one-on-one counseling of students and parents. Further, as a Certified High School Counselor in the State of Texas, Christina possesses extensive knowledge of the courses that students are required to take in order to be accepted into some of the most prestigious colleges in the United States.
Over the course of her career, she has developed a unique model that is designed to assist students in the college admission process, which has been able to help thousands of students.
Christina is passionate about helping students get admitted to college, and is dedicated to utilizing her expertise to ensure that students are equipped with all the necessary knowledge and tools to achieve their dreams and goals.
Throughout her career, Christina’s outstanding college acceptance rate has stemmed from both her commitment to meeting with each individual student to organize and develop a personalized college plan, as well as her widespread network with college admission representatives from across the United States.
Specifically, Christina offered students guidance regarding their schedules and would advise them on which courses they should take, as well as informed students of the benefits of AP and Dual-Credit courses. In addition, Christina educated students about the various components that were tested on the SAT and ACT exams in order to help them effectively prepare, and informed students of test dates and deadlines. Further, Christina helped students assemble their resumes based on a template that Christina formulated after speaking with and receiving the approval of countless college admissions representatives. Along with assisting students with their resumes, Christina would also provide input and edit students’ college admission essays and was instrumental in helping students apply for every possible scholarship in order to make college as affordable as possible.
Additionally, while working at various private schools in the San Antonio area, Christina created and implemented an annual College Fair event that brought hundreds of college admissions representatives to the campus. During this event, students were given the opportunity to speak to and even develop a relationship with the admission representatives of the colleges that they were interested in attending. As a result of hosting numerous College Fair events throughout the years, Christina has been able to establish close relationships with college admission representatives from universities all across the US. Accordingly, Christina can offer students the benefit of these relationships, as well as the invaluable information regarding the college admission process that she has gathered from her connections.
Over the course of her career, Christina has spent countless hours helping students achieve their college goals, and now wishes to extend her expertise and services to students in order to provide them with the same opportunities that are offered at public and private schools.
In turn, Christina decided to found Procollegecounseling in order to help students navigate through both the college and scholarship application processes.
